The wine showed brilliant garnet hues with limpid appearance, revealing a fragrant bouquet of pot pourri of musky rose petals, layered red cherry and boysenberry fruit with just a hint of oak derived spice and vanilla bean. Still in its youth but showing loads of potential, the palate entry is silky and fine but with a core of powdery tannins, providing structure and texture. A lovely line of lingering fruit flavours mirroring the nose, infused with vanilla and spice. With time the palate will mollify and the flavours lengthen to provide a delicious treat.

This has evolved superbly with a little extra time into a hauntingly beautiful wine with immaculate purity of fruit and magical balance. Not such a big bodied year for this wine, but a masterpiece of elegance, the cherry fruit shining through with subtle background notes of herbs and spices. A wine that fully supports the great reputation
